Our Story,

Nationalmounts.com started with the help of the State of Florida.

In 2005, The State of Florida contacted a company called Laptopcityonline, inc. to inquire about how they can get thier laptops installed or mounted in their vehicles.

Laptopcityonline, inc. was the fastest growing privately owned computer reseller company in South Florida with sales exceeding US 1.8 million, up from $68k just 4 years prior.

As the Lead purchaser and sales manager of Laptopcityonline, inc., I asked my business partner at the time to get on the net and find out who, if anyone was making these mounts for laptops to mount in vehicles.

Two weeks past by and again the State of Florida called with the same question.

I turned to my business partner again and asked him if he had any information regarding these mounts for the state. He turned to me and said... "Sorry, I really didn't have time to look into it".

Feeling embarrassed and a bit angered, I decided to let the State know that we had failed in aquiring a solution for them but had asked them if they would give me another chance, I wouldn't dissapoint them.

I started doing my due diligence and stumbled on a company called NPI, INC. Located in Seattle, Washington.

I promptly called them and inquired about these mounts.

After about and hour of back and forth and learning a bit about the product, I took a chance and told the company to ship me 3 of each and every mount they produced.

In a week we received them.

To my surprise, they were heavy duty, unbreakable and of the highest quality considering they were made out of steal.

I then contacted the State of Florida and explained to them what I had and asked them if I could send them a sample for a particular vehicle.

Within 1 week I had an order for $68,000.

Within the first year the orders exceeded $300,000.

After building a website, www.nationalmounts.com and www.laptopcityonline.com, sales skyrocketed over US $1M.

After 3 years sales soared passed US $1.86M.

This told me several things.

#1. The product is Heavy Duty and well built.

#2. The product needs it's own advertising and dedictated staff.

#3. Ram-mounts will be around for a long-long time.
